The Appeal
In 1969, the Mini was restyled - and introduced what we now know, in retrospect, as the Clubman front. This envisioned replacement for the classic Mini formula also introduced the 1275GT, which replaced the Cooper S and became the only true 'sport' Mini in existence for its lifetime.
This new, modern and up-to-date visage for the iconic little car offered lots of progress. In 1980, the Clubman and the 1275GT left production - and in the process, sealed themselves as hot collector's items. Indeed, the 1275GT may well be one of the rarest and most desirable minis built.
This remarkable example, then, will no doubt garner plenty of admiration and interest. This late 1980 model year example is finished in vibrant Vermillion red with the original deckchair upholstery, three clock dash and Sundym tinted glass all lovely restored and intact. The period look is completed with the Denovo wheel trims - resulting in a simply superb time capsule.

The History and Paperwork

- The DVLA records 9 previous keepers
- Subject to a £20,000 restoration by Martinsminis of Nottingham, a Concourse winning restorer
- Painted by MINICHANICS of Romiley to better-than-factory standard
- This work covered bare metal respray, mechanical strip down and refurbishment
- Car has now covered 67,088 miles, having barely seen any use since restoration completed
- Dry stored in a climate-controlled environment as part of a private collection
