- Faithful tribute to the legendary Fiat 124 Abarth Group IV
- Built in 2011 using a 1980 Fiat 124 Spider base
- Only 500 km since the rebuild
- Estimated build cost exceeding €100,000
- Never raced, used exclusively as a show car
- Unique and very expensive original 16V head
The Appeal
An unlikely rally car, perhaps. But the fact remains that the Pininfarina-built Fiat 124 Spider proved utterly unstoppable in Group 4, with a little help from Abarth, of course. 124s even usurped the Lancia Fulvia HF, to win the Italian Rally Championship in 1970.
Inspired by the car driven by '70s Polish rallying legend Andrzej Jaroszewicz, this precision-built homage captures the spirit of the original with meticulous attention to detail. As the photographs and video shows, this Fiat is a fantastic piece of kit, finished to a very standard and well-kept ever since. The vendor says the build cost is over €100,000, which we can well believe, having seen the results. Just 500 km have been covered since the car was completed and we're assured it has never been used in competition.
