The Appeal
Possibly one of the most impressive bikes to ever come from the legendary manufacturer, the Honda CBX 1000 was a veritable monster of a Sports Bike. Loaded with the powerplant from a '60s Honda RC series race bike, this six-cylinder beast was touted upon release as the fastest production bike in the world - offering a top speed of 140mph.
It's an incredible looker, too. That gleaming six-cylinder plant, those fuss-free lines and the determined stance of it perfectly balanced that adrenaline-seeking high with a sophistication that only the Japanese mounts could supply in such quantities.
This particular CBX 1000 has been lovingly maintained, with regular servicing and oil changes every 500 miles. Less than 500 miles ago, a CBX club expert synchronised the valve shims and carburettors, resulting in a bike that's running as smoothly as the day it left the factory.
