The Appeal
Like every Porsche model, the 924 just got better and better. When the firm’s busy engineers created the 170bhp Turbo, they finally gave the car the performance to match the potential of the beautifully balanced transaxle layout.
These high-performance models featured engines that were essentially hand-built. Less than 14,000 were built over four years, and survivors as good as this 1981 Light Blue metallic are very rare. It is a really tidy Turbo that is said to remain entirely factory standard.
The engine has been recently serviced, and benefits from a new timing belt, water pump and injectors, and the brake lines have also been replaced. Invoices for this work are available. The current Spanish ITV runs to February 2027.
There are, of course, other Porsche Turbos available. The 924 is the firm’s undiscovered gem - here’s your chance to change that.
The vendor says:
“A very well-maintained unit, with a beautiful blue colour and a driving position that is both comfortable and sporty.”
