The Appeal
From head to tail, this adorable Mini has been lovingly restored to absolute perfection almost entirely by the vendor over the course of two years or less.
The vendor tells us that every nut and bolt has been tended to and nothing overlooked and it's obvious from the outstanding condition, almost as if you have been transported back to the 1983 Austin showroom.

The History and Paperwork
V5 documentation
Virtually every single part purchased has been documented in a folder of receipts
Tangible photographic evidence of the rebuild from collection to first drive
Given the history of this car, there is little in the way of paperwork. This isn't to say it has a bad history, quite the opposite in fact, as the rebuilding process has been well documented by means of photos. This shows the day it was collected, the day it was repainted, the first drive and everything in between.
Other than that there is of course the V5 documentation and a fistful of invoices from Mini Spares showing all the new parts to bring this fabulous car to where it is today.

The interior of this charming machine has just enough resto mods to keep the interior looking fresh but keeping the wonderful classic feel.
All the furnishings have been hand finished by the vendor to the best standard and are complemented by original dials and switchgear that are in top order with some light patina in places as to be expected.
Super comfortable seats and a heater are about all you need for comfort in this superb car as the vendor wanted to keep the car from having any of the common modifications. There is provision for a stereo to be fitted but really, we think you'll be too occupied enjoying the car to worry about music!

When we first saw this Mini you can tell it is as close to perfect as possible with a superb finish to the paint and panels, nothing has been missed and is evidence of true passion and care from the vendor.
Starting with the paint, this has been applied perfectly and we struggled to find any flaw from application to the polishing. The paint has an even finish all over, almost no ‘orange peel’ and little sign of washing/polishing marks.
The chrome trims, lights, seals and simple exterior finishes are absolutely spot on, fitted perfectly and finished with the perfect shine.
All the way down to the sills and inner wheel arches, the bodywork is simply excellent with no body sealer hiding any welding or otherwise, just the Damask Red as far as the eye can see.

New rear subframe
The underside of this Mini is just as clean and tidy as the rest of the car, evidence of the attention shown by the vendor. New floors were properly welded in along with a new subframe and there are no signs of welding that we saw as the finishing is excellent and honestly looks new.
All the fuel lines, brake pipes, shock absorbers and exhaust are new too, simply nothing has been overlooked with no heavy underseal, just simple clear waxoyl for a clean finish.
Really what else is there to say other than this Mini is mechanically sorted, like new as it were and has nothing to hide, only to show off!
Possibly one of the best available on the market, this absolutely stunning Mini Pickup is virtually flawless throughout and would be the perfect example for someone to show off at events or competitions.
The level of craftsmanship that has gone into this car is not just evidence of skill but true passion and care from the vendor, not a reason to make money but to simply enjoy the challenge of making the best.
