The Appeal

First introduced in 1968, it's hard to say if Jaguar foresaw this car staying on the market for over twenty years - it certainly seems like the car was built with that endurance in mind. Handsome lines, top-notch comfort and timeless character made the XJ6 an enormous success, and while it may not have the household-name status of the E-Type, it was perhaps even more influential on the Coventry company's design language.

This particular 1983 example stands out due to its incredibly low mileage of just 17,709 miles from new, something that can be partially attributed to a long period in dry storage. Reinforcing that remarkably low odometer reading, this fabulous Jaguar comes with a comprehensive history file, including every MOT and service stamp up until it was placed in storage in 2004.

While it requires some recommissioning, the vehicle has been started and driven, suggesting that with some attention to the fuel system and a general service, it'll be ready to return to the road. The solid bodywork, well-preserved interior, and original features make this XJ6 a worthy candidate for any discerning enthusiast's collection.

  • Turns over freely and will start and momentary with easystart
  • However, the vendor recommends a fuel system flush and general service before returning to the road, therefore the car will need to be collected by transporter
