The Appeal
Developed by Peter Bohanna and Robin Stables all the way back in 1972, the AC 3000ME was originally known as the Bohanna-Stables Diablo. AC took notice of the car early on, and began exhibiting it with the hope of launch by 1974. Cue the introduction of Type Approval Regs and it wasn't until 1978 that the car finally hit the market. Sadly that delay caused a lot of disaffected buyers and cancelled orders. Over thirty years later, the 3000ME is a supremely rare, distinctive car that's arguably never been more in demand.
This particular 1984 car comes to us in a fine state of preservation. It's accompanied by a fresh MOT and has spent the past few months safe and secure in dry storage, which has no doubt contributed to its fine presentation. While a little bit of work will be necessary to bring the car up to snuff, it's a deeply seductive prospect and will prove a very rewarding classic. image.png4.03 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
