The Appeal
Alongside the likes of Abarth, fellow Italian engine tuner Giannini proved proficient at encouraging more horsepower from Fiat engines. The firm coaxed 30 bhp from the 126, widened the wings, fitted a sports exhaust, stiffened suspension, front disc brakes and alloy wheels.
This 1984 Fiat 126 Giannini GP believed to be one of only 17 examples produced. It has been well cared for, with light mechanical and restoration work undertaken by the previous owner, an ex-Rolls-Royce engineer. The Fiat is in very good order throughout and is superbly presented in readiness for sale. The vendor reports that it starts readily, runs well and drives as it should with no apparent faults.
