By the 1980s. the Porsche 911 was secured as an unwavering classic car. Its smooth bodywork and impressive performance had kept it in production through multiple iterations - and in 1984, the company unveiled a new Carrera, the first instance of the name since the 70s.
The 3.2L Carrera was reportedly 'around 70% new', with a larger powerplant and a transmission taken from the 915. It was, of course, another smash hit - a smart, disciplined fusion of track racer and road sports car. - If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
- If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
