The Appeal

The 944 is rapidly becoming a much-favoured entry point into the world of Stuttgart's retro lineage. With its eight-valve four-cylinder engine offering a near-flat torque curve, with a top speed north of 130mph. This hardware was famously derived from one bank of the 928's V8 powerplant, and offers a deeply rewarding drive, with excellent, balanced handling.

The Lux specification, finished here in Zermatt Silver over a Black Porsche Script interior, adds desirable features including electric windows, electric sunroof and central locking.

This example was supplied new by Roger Clark Porsche in July 1984 and has since been comprehensively recommissioned following a period of long-term storage, with work spanning bodywork, brakes, drivetrain and fluids as outlined below.
