The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• German import that is yet to be registered in Italy
• Supplied with German registration documents
• Acquired by the vendor in 2015
• Repatriated to Italy where we’re informed that it has since undergone a mechanical refresh
• We understand that it is now almost ready to be driven, with just a quick tune up required

The Interior

• Exceedingly elegant design
• Looks to be very original and in really good condition with some gentle patina in places
• The highlight for us is the green carpeting which present very well overall, with just a few signs of wear and tear
• A beautiful and very stylish wood-rimmed steering wheel exhibits some very light patina
• The wood-effect finish on the gear knob has worn away, as is very common with this part
• The dashboard, instrumentation and switchgear all present well
• All of the patterned cloth upholstery remains in very good condition considering its age
• There are a few marks on the seats, but no excessive wear or obvious signs of damage besides a small tear near one of the head rests in the rear
• Even the fragile mesh head rests remain in good order
• Retains its retractable rear parcel shelf
• Still has its Alfa Romeo embossed rubber boot mat
• Spare wheel present under the boot floor
• The vendor informs us that all the electrics work as expected

The Exterior 

• Attractive metallic green paintwork
• Black plastic trim with light green accents which really make this car stand out
• The vendor informs us that the eight-hole alloy wheels are new, as are the tyres
• Sprint badging with the famous ‘Quadrifoglio Verde’ insignia
• The paint presents really well, with very few imperfections
• The bodywork appears incredibly straight and very solid
• A look underneath suggests this Alfa’s structure to be really sound
• All the trim, glass and light lenses display well

The Mechanics 

• 1.5-litre four-cylinder boxer engine
• Five-speed manual gearbox
• All looks to be in good order under the bonnet
• The vendor informs us that the engine has been serviced and runs well
• We’re informed that the alternator is new
• Work has also been carried out to the cooling system
• The only fault the vendor notices is a slightly crunchy second gear synchromesh on downshifts
• Some final set up and tuning is advised before the car hits the road once more as the car hasn’t been tested extensively since the mechanical work was carried out
