The Appeal
The Toyota Celica GT-S convertible represents a unique chapter in Toyota’s sports car history, as it was one of the last rear-wheel-drive Celicas before the platform switched to front-wheel drive in later generations. This 1985 example is especially unusual because it’s one of the limited ASC (American Sunroof Company) conversions, with just 4,248 units produced for the U.S. market that year.
It spent its life in California’s warm, dry climate before being imported to Lithuania, so this Celica benefits from excellent preservation—especially underneath, where rust is often a problem on cars from this era. The combination of its original 2.4-liter 22R engine, five-speed manual transmission, and period-correct touches like the König wheels gives this convertible both authenticity and extra visual appeal.
