The Appeal
The original XJ Jaguar’s intrinsic qualities plus Pininfarina’s clever makeover explain why this smooth-riding car remained in production for so long after the arrival of the XJ40. Then, of course, there’s that sinuous V12 powerplant, surely one of the greatest production engines of all time.
This very highly presented Series 3 XJ12 Sovereign is a chance to discover what all the fuss is about. It was bought by the seller in 2013 from the President of the French Jaguar Enthusiasts Club. Following a comprehensive restoration covering bodywork, paint and woodwork, it is in really fine condition. The suspension has also been overhauled, new brake master cylinder fitted and the front calipers replaced. A new power steering rack has been fitted. Added reassurance is provided by the lengthy Controle Technique, which runs to September 2030.
