The Appeal
The 928 has a dedicated follower base and is perfect for classic Porsche fans looking for something to be different to the 911 crowd.
This car has been with its current owner for nearly 2 years, acquiring it in March 2022. Before this, the seller tells us the car was stored for around 10 years before being purchased in our very own classified section. Since that time, the car has been used sparingly and with the purchase of another car this 928 is now surplus to requirements.
Believed to have had a full respray at some point in its history, the car now wears a handsome shade of metallic blue. The bodywork is in good condition with only minor marks around the car, a few touch ups and a cut and polish should get this car shining again.
Equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine, mated to an automatic gearbox, this is Porsche’s idea of a long-distance cruiser, a grand tourer. The seller reports that the car is capable mechanically and that the engine and gearbox are working as intended.
The History and Paperwork
Due to the car being stored for approximately 10 years, it is believed that the history behind the vehicle has been lost. The current keeper has all the history from their year of ownership.

- Owner reports the car to run and drive well, the engine to be smooth and the automatic gearbox to select gear without issue
- Having been stored for a long period of time, the underside has not had the exposure to the salted roads that time period and remains in good condition due to this
- 5.0L V8 engine looks to be in good visual health under the bonnet with no obvious signs of excessive fluid leaks (MOT advised a minor oil leak)
- No obvious signs of split hoses, exposed wires, or damage to components
- The seller reports there to be no issues with the way the car drives
