What makes it special
The Quadrifoglio Verde sits right at the top of the Alfa Romeo Spider Series 3 range. It stands out thanks to its bespoke interior, exclusive colour palette, and a limited production run of just 2,692 examples between 1986 and 1989. Offered only in Alfa Red or Metallic Grey, it remains one of the most sought-after versions of this iconic Italian open-top model today.
This left-hand drive Metallic Grey example is registered in France and shows 76,291 km on the odometer. Its history is backed up by documented records of technical inspections. The paintwork was redone in 2021 following hailstorm damage. The seller states that the dents were carefully reshaped by hand before the repaint.
Inside, the cabin retains its grey seats with red stitching, along with its original red floor mats. The seller says the whole car has remained correct to its original specification.
The 2.0-litre inline-four Twin Cam engine has benefited from regular servicing. The car is accompanied by an extensive history file including invoices, MOT/technical inspection records, the FFVE collection file, copies of old registration documents, and period sales brochures.cc-1987alfaromeospider-0002.jpg585.7 KB
Documents: registration document (carte grise), current technical inspection, history of technical inspections with mileage readings, service book, invoices, FFVE collection file and period brochures
This sale is subject to Car & Classic’s terms and conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:
✓ The seller is registered as a private seller, meaning that consumer rights arising from European consumer protection legislation do not apply. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic’s terms and conditions.
✓ We require that non-refundable fees are paid if you are the successful bidder or if your offer is accepted. Please refer to our FAQs and terms and conditions for the specific rates.
✓ This vehicle is “sold as seen”, on a “take it as it is, where it is” basis and without any warranty. The photos and descriptions are for guidance only and it is customary to carry out a full inspection of the vehicle before purchase for your own peace of mind.
✓ VAT is included in the buyer’s deposit. VAT may or may not be included in the final offer/submission price, as specified in the listing.
✓ We want the transaction to run smoothly for you, too, and that’s why UK-registered cars and motorcycles listed on Car & Classic are subject to an HPI check to confirm that they do not show any basic insurance database markers for damage or theft, and that they are not subject to financial outstanding (so you can bid with confidence).
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of a total loss claim at the time the listing is placed on Car & Classic and provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always useful to carry out a full vehicle history check before making an offer.
✓ Buyers are responsible for collection or delivery of the vehicle. Importing vehicles may result in additional customs duties and import taxes. If you wish, we can recommend a third-party transport company to help you. For more details and to speak to the team, email auctions@carandclassic.com.
