The Appeal
The E24 M635CSI knocked it out of the park. It was so good that BMW almost made it look effortless. There was the crisp, shark-nose styling that cleverly updated the E9 aesthetics. The driving dynamics informed by the firm’s no-nonsense ‘ultimate driving machine ethos.’ And then, of course, that sweet M88 3.5L straight six engine.
No surprise that good examples like this one are in demand. These are viscerally capable sports cars and GTs. Finished in fetching Royal Blue metallic over a cream leather interior, this car is pleasingly entirely factory standard. The condition reflects its cossetted life in the dry climate of south California and a bulging history file of over 50 invoices.

This car is a timely reminder of just how good the E24 looks, particularly in M-trim and in the right colour.
