The Appeal
The Alfasud Sprint is one of the most characterful coupés of its era, combining Giorgetto Giugiaro's sharp styling with the lively, free-revving boxer engine. It was everything the petrolhead would want - a dynamic, fast and capable car that was rev-happy and communicative with the lucky soul behind the wheel.
This 1988 car has benefited from a thorough restoration carried out in 2017/2018 by Longmynd Classics in Church Stretton, a respected classic vehicle specialist, with engine work entrusted to Ferdis Garage in Latham, a well-known Alfa Romeo specialist. The scope of the rebuild was extensive, covering the engine, gearbox, braking system, suspension and bodywork.
Since the restoration, the car has covered only around 8,000 miles - all in summer - and has been SORN'd for six months of each year. With 59,600 miles on the clock and an advisory-free MOT until June 2026, it's ready and waiting to go. An eminently drivable 80s classic that's well worthy of your attention.1988 Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7QV-1.jpg634.05 KB
