Named after the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans—where Bentley claimed five victories between 1924 and 1930—the Bentley Mulsanne debuted in 1980 with a 6.75-litre V8 shared with Rolls-Royce. In 1982, the Mulsanne Turbo arrived with 50% more power, initially using twin SU carburettors before switching to Bosch fuel injection in 1986.
The Turbo became the Turbo R, and in 1987, the Mulsanne S was introduced. While it lacked a turbocharger, it shared many Turbo R features like stiffer suspension and alloy wheels. From 1989, it was updated with quad round headlights.
This cherished 1989 Mulsanne S has been with the vendor for approximately three years, and in that time, it has covered approximately 1,500 miles and received two services, even though, based on mileage, they were nowhere near due, which is generally a good indication of a well-kept vehicle.223c9e39-93a2-428f-bb6a-639849ae2581.jpg565.52 KB
