The Appeal
When it came to the long-lived E24 6-Series, BMW saved the best until last. The Motorsport Edition took the 635CSI and added a raft of factory options plus desirable features from the M635, including Bilstein shocks and lowered suspension.
Just 180 found their way to the UK in RHD form, and only 60 of those were special order Macau Blue like this car. It features a smart White Lotus interior and elevated specification including cruise control and electric front seats with memory function to driver’s side.
The car is in very good condition across the exterior and interior, showing only light cosmetic signs of use. A set of multispoke Alpina alloys add to the purposeful aesthetics.
Despite the tempting appeal of that M30B35 210bhp straight six, this car’s five keepers have kept the mileage low for its age. The current keeper acquired the car in 2012. The history file shows regular maintenance, and there is the added reassurance of a lengthy MOT to January 2026.
This is a very tempting example of the ultra-rare Motorsport.
