The Appeal

That’s why we like this 1989 Escort Mk4 Cabriolet. It’s a rare find these days, since most were driven into the ground, and must be one of the best around. Dressed up with a RS body kit, auxiliary lights and XR3 wheels that make it stand out, it is a really tidy low-mileage car that has clearly been cherished.

This era of Escort tends to be prone to rust, a trait that this car seems to have avoided. That is a view supported by the MOT, which runs to September with no advisories, structural or otherwise.

The interior is well kept too, featuring re-trimmed red leather interior to match the roof. It also sports a set of modified dials with lemon yellow backings. The MOT history supports the low displayed mileage, although it is not verified.
