The Appeal

Hailing from the golden era of Mercedes Benz, the R107 generation SL stands as a wonderful example of what made the marque so great during the 1970s and 80s. Timeless, elegant styling, robust drivelines and of course untold levels of engineering quality. The SL fell perfectly for buyers looking for an effortlessly classy luxury sports convertible that lacked the brash, imposing aura that came with many of its market competitors. Something well versed throughout the several generations of the model right up to present day, but none quite like the R107.

Well presented with a recently rebuilt gearbox, high quality bodywork and a rare powered soft top roof, F828 DFR would certainly make an excellent collectors piece for the avid Mercedes enthusiast, but at the same time would lend itself well to more continued regular use as a quirky daily driver to stand out from the blandness of modern traffic.

The Interior

Smartly presented, highly original interior space in good overall order
Draped in sumptuous deep black leather upholstery throughout, notably lacking in wear or blemishing, rather just a gentle patina in places
Seating in both the front and rear is of a great quality exhibiting very minimal signs of age or marking, with just some slight flawing on the passenger seat base cushion
Two well upholstered black door panels sit at each side of the cabin, in great overall order with subtle chrome embellishments and door furniture
Lashings of wood finish trim throughout the cabin, presenting well with a good shine to it

The Exterior
