The Appeal
Often celebrated as the last truly 'rock-solid' Merc, the W124 was a roomy, capable saloon that just about had something for everyone. With its distinctive executive styling and gloriously 80s aesthetic, these cars premiered the option of Mercedes-Benz' innovative 4WD system, and have proven remarkably enduring.
At this time, Mercedes-Benz were arguably one of the greatest car manufacturers on the planet, and were overengineering their products to the extreme. As a result, the W124 is capable of racking up incredible miles, and even a long-in-the-tooth example is capable of driving and driving.
So when an example like this - with remarkably low mileage and only one keeper from new - comes to market, it's bound to get lots of attention. This car is a real unicorn. You'd be hard pressed to find a better example!Image00040 Mark Heron.JPG4.74 MB
