1991 Fiat Uno Turbo

Highlights

  • Arguably the greatest RHD example available globally
  • The perfect Museum/show car
  • Incredibly low mileage
  • Extensively restored with official parts
  • Forged Engine

The Appeal

Originally introduced in 1985, the Fiat Uno Turbo was a welcome development over the standard Uno supermini. It offered a fantastic power-to-weight ratio and to this day, is the embodiment of everything we all love about retro hot hatches.
This particular mk2 Fiat Uno Turbo has been extensively restored at a Fiat main dealer, down to the nut and bolt in some cases. With the current condition of the vehicle, you could quite easily be fooled that this feisty hatchback had been frozen in time right after leaving the production line.
With an incredibly low number of these left on the roads worldwide, this is believed to be the best Uno Turbo on the market. The sheer lack of official parts available nowadays alone makes this pristine example worth more than money alone.

This Uno Turbo would make the perfect addition to anyone’s collection and would very easily serve as an eye-catching museum piece.

The History and Paperwork

  • Just 6 owners from new
  • Full known history/past owners
  • Extensive restoration
  • Original service booklet with 17x stamps
  • Vast assortment of invoices
Vehicles with this amount of known history and paperwork are few and far between nowadays, making this Fiat Uno Turbo a true standout in the crowd.

The vehicle’s origin can be traced all the way back to the Fiat dealership where it was first registered, and then to its second owner, who worked at the said dealership.

The third keeper is believed to have also worked for Fiat and obtained the car from their colleague after quite some time of inquiring.
As the attached images from around 18 years ago illustrate, the third keeper chose to pamper the vehicle with minor aesthetic modifications in keeping with the times. It is these very same blurry old photographs that can be used to further verify the vehicle’s low mileage alongside the previous MOT history.
The 4th owner would keep the car for around 18 months, seldom using the vehicle and later passing it to the 5th registered keeper, who later passed it to her husband.

This gentleman owned the vehicle from 2005-to 2022, ensured the vehicle was dry stored, and also had the car restored with a Fiat main agent.

Upon the promise that the current keeper would continue to care for this incredible car, owner no.5 passed this mighty hot hatch to its new home where it currently resides.
Buyers will be pleased to know that this stunning Uno Turbo comes with a huge assortment of paperwork, including previous labour invoices, parts invoices, full forged engine specification paperwork, V5C document, and previous MOT certificates.

Perhaps one of the most impressive details to note, is that the car also includes the original service booklet, which boasts 17x stamps.

In addition to the above, the new owner will receive both keys, original handbooks, build sheet, and even the original inspection report.

The Interior

  • Incredible condition
  • Restored to the highest level
  • A time machine for retro styling
Much like the exterior, inside this vehicle is a sight to behold. As part of the restoration, the car has received a huge assortment of interior parts, including each piece of trim and every switch.

With parts for this car being as rare as hen’s teeth, the sheer attention to detail with the interior restoration is mind blowingly impressive.
All seats are in fantastic original condition, and look absolutely incredible to this day. The headliner, carpets, door cards and trim pieces follow suit and help this interior feel as if you’ve perhaps stepped into a time machine.

In the boot, you’ll find more exceptionally clean carpet & trim pieces, along with the spare wheel and tool kit.
Overall, it is an incredibly pleasant environment to find oneself in, and only adds to the already exquisite experience that the car provides.

The Exterior

  • Near immaculate exterior condition
  • Stunning white paintwork
  • Extensively restored, with new trim pieces
  • Iconic retro hot hatch styling
  • Exceptionally rare rear lights
  • New spoiler fitted
This Fiat Uno Turbo is simply stunning, and is in superb condition having been treated to a full restoration.

Other than just 2 incredibly minor touch ups on the edge of the doors, the white paintwork is absolutely flawless, and helps set this example far above others available today.
As part of the vehicle’s restoration, the car has been treated to new trim pieces, new glass, and new seals to name a few. The vehicle also benefits from a couple of tasteful modifications, including a 40mm suspension drop, mk1 badges and film-tinted fog lights for that retro rally-inspired look.
As mentioned above, this Uno Turbo is believed to be the finest RHD example available in today’s market, which is certainly very likely given the exterior condition alone.

The car would no doubt look fantastic as part of a collection, or as a show piece in a motoring museum.

The Mechanics

  • Forged Engine
  • Incredibly low mileage
  • Performs flawlessly
  • Very well maintained
  • 4 new Firestone tyres
As expected, this mighty Fiat Uno Turbo performs fantastically, without a single mechanical or electrical fault.

The car also benefits from the Wossner Forged Piston/PEC steel con rod package + h.d camshaft. Although the car is currently running standard power, this package enhances the engine’s strength and would support further tuning if desired in the future. The full engine build sheet from Coventry Automotive is available with the car’s paperwork, and details the full extent of the package.
The car has also been fitted with a new professional insurance recognized tracker for peace of mind, along with 40mm lowered suspension for aesthetic purposes.
In summary, this Fiat Uno has been very well maintained over the years, restored with no expense spared and performs perfectly.

If you’re looking for the complete package, this is the car to buy.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
