The Appeal
Enthusiasts are seriously re-evaluating the early 348, and for good reasons. The last Ferrari design overseen by Leonardo Fioravanti, who created the 308, and the last developed with input from Enzo himself, it is a masterpiece of analogue engineering, from its highly praised sharp steering to that sonorous Dino V8, shared with the 288GTO and F40. And that’s all before we mention the Testarossa-infused side strakes and profile.
This pretty Rosso Corsa 1992 car has an extra claim for special status. It is one of just 130 of the 2,894 348TBs that were built in RHD, with records indicating it is an original UK-registered example. The vendor bought it in 2017, and, aside from sparing use and carcoon storage in between, he tells us he has invested over £25,000 in maintenance. The history file supports the low mileage and shows regular all-important cambelt changes plus ongoing work by specialists like Rosso Corsa, Maranello, Kent High Performance and Dave Walton.
The vendor’s expenditure includes engine and subframe removal, a full re-bush, rebuilt dampers, new radiators, overhauled brakes, and a full stainless steel exhaust system. Hill Engineering components feature throughout. Stewart Roden, Ferrari specialist replaced the cambelt in 2018, and it is now due again based on age. The vendor describes the bodywork and interior as in very good order, with only minor stone chipping to the front spoiler and light wear to the driver's seat bolster. The engine and gearbox were serviced in 2026, and the car has an advisory-free MOT until July 2027.
The joy of the 348TB is just how usable it is compared to earlier and later alternatives. Extremely rare and in a desirable colour scheme, this well-kept car could be used or savoured for shows and weekends.

It seems fitting that this rare version of one of the last cars produced under Enzo’s watch is finished in his favoured Rosso Corsa, matched with smart crema leather. The condition inside and out is impressive, helped by localised restoration to the wheels and switchgear, as well as the low mileage and evident care of its long-term current keeper.
