The Appeal
The Mercedes-Benz E500 is a car of contrasts. It may appear modest at first glance, almost indistinguishable from other models in the W124 series. However, under the bonnet lies a 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 322 horsepower, transforming this saloon into a sports car in disguise. This ‘90s Q-car remains ever-popular to this day and is a rare sight in the UK.
This 1992 example has been carefully maintained by its current owner since they acquired it as an unfinished project in 2004. Having been subject to an accident (although not extensively damaged) in 2002, it underwent comprehensive repair work which the vendor completed to a very high standard. Since returning to the road in 2006, the vendor has used the car very sparingly, storing it in their garage to preserve its fantastic condition. Complete with an advisory-free MOT, it’s ready to enjoy.

Auto-bidding increments
- If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
- If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
