1992 Mercedes-Benz R129 600SL

Highlights

  • Rare and collectable 600SL V12 R129
  • Great colour combination and condition
  • Extensive history with ongoing investment
  •  Long Controle Technique to March 2025

The Appeal

Thanks to the quality and engineering that went into the R129 even an entry level model would cost in excess of $70,000 when new. But you would still have to find an extra $50,000 to fund a top of the range 600SL.
These V12-engined, near-400bhp GTs were truly rarified objects back in the early 1990s. Today they are highly sought-after, combining as they do the intrinsic brilliance of the R129 with one of Mercedes-Benz’ greatest engines.
This is a particularly good example, from the only year when these cars were badged 600SL and finished in a fetching colour combination. Its condition is testament to its careful owners, a point reinforced by the extensive history. With long Controle Technique to March 2025 this rare car would grace any collection.
