The Appeal
The ‘soft dash’ Range Rover Classic was the final spin on a magnificent design and is generally regarded as the most desirable of these later five-door models. This Montpellier Red metallic example is one of the earliest built and has had just three keepers in its life.
The mileage is also low for a 31-year-old vehicle. It is very original with a nicely preserved cabin and light age to note to the exterior. This is the sort of vehicle that you could use ‘as is,’ enjoy all the Classic’s capabilities, or gradually improve as you go.
The vendor acquired it in 2019 and has dry-stored it when not in use. It is a reluctant sale. With MOT valid to April 2026, this well-regarded 4x4 is ready to go.
The vendor says:
“According to the V5 it has had two previous owners. It requires some light welding on the fills etc but is generally sound. The exhaust was replaced before I purchased it with a full stainless steel system. The bodywork is all original and there are sections of alloy corrosion on the doors. It has been stored inside a barn for all of my ownership but due to health and family issues it is having to be sold on, and hopefully get the care it needs.
“Drives and stops well, a lovely drive. The classic Range Rover is a great thing to drive, even compared to the new ones!”
