The Appeal
The W124 is often considered to be the last of the ‘engineering-led’ Mercedes-Benz, a car built to exacting standards and crisply styled by Bruno Sacco.
Of the innumerable engine options available to buyers, the smooth and powerful 190bhp 2.8litre straight six seems perfectly suited to the W124’s effortless vibe. These were popular cars whose build quality makes survivors common, but few quite like this E280.
The appealing colour combination and high specification are merely the starting point for what is clearly a well kept car. It has had just two registered keepers - the first to 2023. In August 2023 Mercedes-Benz undertook a major service that also covered flushing and replacing all fluids including brakes, transmission and engine. New shock absorbers were fitted all round, brake hoses replaced and a new battery installed.
This is a very smart W124 that comes to market with the reassurance of all that work and a long, advisory-free MOT. This is one for the discerning collector.
