The Appeal
The Impreza was one of those once in a generation cars that changed everything. Built for rallying and to great success with the legendary Colin McRae, the Impreza was just at home as a fast road car. Immensely popular thanks to unbeatable performance for the price and handling that still feels great by today's standards it’s easy to see why the Impreza was such a hit.
This is a very early British market Impreza and was bought new by the vendor's late father, in the family ever since it remains entirely original and unmodified. Thanks to very careful ownership and low mileage for its age it is in fantastic condition throughout and presents a rare opportunity to own one of these iconic cars that hasn’t been modified or driven to death.

The Interior

- All four wheels present well with some room for improvement, however they are still on the original paint!
- All of the trim, paint, lights and badges present very well with only the occasional small stone chip giving any indication of the age and mileage of the car
The Mechanics
- Starts easily and idles well
- Sounds superb through the standard exhaust with no unwanted noises
- The 1994cc turbo engine still delivers exciting performance
- The owner reports that it drives perfectly accelerating well and stopping quickly
- Original spare wheel and Subaru tool kit
- Cambelt and waterpump replaced in 2019
- Engine bay is clean and tidy with no modifications
- Underside presents well
- Exhaust back box would benefit from attention
Summary
It’s hard not to love the Impreza, especially such a fantastic early example in white; a fantastic looking car with performance to match. But this Impreza offers something unusual in its one family ownership from new coupled with being completely standard and in excellent condition. Ones this good don’t come up often and this is one not to be missed.
