The Appeal
This one-off flat tracker began life as a 1994 Sprint before being comprehensively reimagined by Christian Forward of Forwardstein Design. Drawing on the American flat track racing tradition and the legacy of Gene Romero, this build combines Hinckley Triumph character with specialist engineering and bespoke craftsmanship.
At its heart sits a Thunderbird engine bored out by Galtec Precision Engineering to 955cc, with a port-flowed and skimmed cylinder head, 955i cams, FCR39 carburettors, and a custom 3-1-2 stainless steel exhaust, all set up on the dyno by Dynatech to produce 110bhp. The chassis draws from some of the best in the business: Yamaha FZ1 forks with R1 yokes, a Ducati Multistrada swing arm, and Brembo brakes. A professionally made wiring loom with a B-Box Digital control unit and a Daytona Velona multifunction clock is fitted. The one-off tank and seat unit wears Gene Romero-inspired paintwork by Triple C Paintwork, and numerous custom aluminium parts feature throughout.
This machine has earned recognition in the Triumph Owners Club Magazine and the Hinckley Triumph book. The vendor describes it as rarely used and in very good condition, noting only a small mark on the tank visible on close inspection. A new MOT is to be provided.
