The Charm
Few vehicles embody ruggedness and functionality like the Russian UAZ, designed to tackle any terrain and easy to service wherever it is.
This 1994 UAZ 3151 has been in Italy for many years and has lived a very quiet life for 10 years on a Tuscan estate. It has been carefully modified to make it more practical and versatile, but without affecting its distinctive character.
Originally registered as a 3-seater commercial vehicle, it was converted in 2015 to a 7-seater passenger vehicle, increasing its usefulness for both daily use and adventure.
Original from birth, it was first modified for off-road around 2010-2012 by Martorelli, a former UAZ importer and off-road championship winner. Then in about 2019 it was overhauled by a former Martorelli mechanic - it was made a 7-seater instead of a 2-seater and the engine was improved with quieter mounts. In detail, the work included a new paint job, reconfiguration of the cabin, installation of a side exhaust, modification of the fuel system, raising of the suspension and adaptation of the Range Rover power steering.
The result is a 7-seater off-roader that is very practical, easy to manoeuvre and full of character. It is currently in Rome and could become an original urban vehicle or a versatile family country car. Or both.
THE SELLER HIMSELF REPORTS:
"This is a historic vehicle with a strong character and adventurous soul, combining Russian off-road charm with a series of improvements to make it more practical, reliable and comfortable. Perfect for those looking for a classic 4x4 with an interesting history and ready for exploration."
It has been modified to increase its off-road capabilities with a winch, roll bar, lift and side exhaust by Martorelli, former Uaz importer and Italian off-road champion. In 2019, however, it was refurbished to improve aesthetics and comfort, buying and restoring the hard top, reconfiguring the cabin, changing the seats to new, more comfortable leather ones, adding a hi-fi system, adapting a Range Rover power steering system and repainting it completely by a former Martorelli mechanic.image.png4.21 MB
