The Appeal
For those in the know, the 540i is the canny buy from the extensive and highly regarded E34 range. It delivers M5-adjacent performance but with the luxury and comfort usually associated with BMW’s E-Class killer.
Yet these are very rare cars, particularly when they’re as good as this 1995 example. The vendor imported it from the salt-free roads of Japan in 2021 and has absolutely lavished it with expenditure ever since. Take a look at our history photographs - there is a raft of invoices covering work to the mechanicals, suspension, cooling system and many other areas. It is perhaps no surprise that the car has attracted no MOT advisories since arriving here. The current test runs to February 2027. It was last serviced in September 2025.
Finished in understated Arktis Grey with black leather, this very low mileage car is in great condition. It is largely factory standard too, just a set of deep dish lattice alloys and lowered suspension altering the original settings. This is a proper Bavarian V8-powered four door gem.
