The Appeal
At the equivalent of £140,000 when new in 1995, more than twice the price of a ‘base’ Jaguar XJ6, Daimler’s Double Six LWB wasn’t for everyone, as this very smart Westminster Blue car proves. Only 1,230 were sold, and it was first registered to a Saudi Princess living in Regent’s Park.
In the intervening 31 years, it has covered less than 18,500 miles from new, in the hands of just five keepers. The result of that sparing use is an extremely tidy example that checks out well in the usual X300 areas and has a particularly well-presented Parchment leather cabin. That limousine-like interior features the usual Daimler accoutrements like electric rear seats and vast legroom courtesy of the extra 12.5cm in the wheelbase.
Under the bonnet is Jaguar’s venerable 6L V12 engine. The Double Six was one of the last cars to get this classic motor, which suits the limousine’s effortless vibe. The service history supports the low mileage and shows a run of regular attention up to 17,372 miles in April 2026, having received a full service by R&R Jaguar specialists, inclusive of new sparkplugs.
With interest in the very usable X300 growing amongst marque collectors, here is a chance to acquire a particularly special example.
