The Appeal
Launched in 1998 the Porsche 996 was the latest expression of the famous 911 sports car, which for the first time ever featured a water-cooled, rather than air-cooled, flat-six engine.
20 years on and the 996 has grown in status and reputation even amongst the most die-hard air-cooled fan and is now accepted as a true Porsche worthy of the 911 insignia, and with worldwide sales of over 175,000 it’s one of the Porsche’s most popular cars ever.
This 911 has been well cared for by the current owner for the last 7 years, being garaged and regularly maintained, but only clocking up around 8,000 very enjoyable miles in this time.
The Tiptronic S transmission gives the driver the choice of automatic or manual gear changing and this one also comes with the optional factory hardtop and stand so you have the option of driving it as either a coupe or convertible.
