The Appeal
Marrying the Ducati V-Twin with an all-terrain desert racer-type chassis delivered a particularly enticing bike in the form of Cagiva’s Elefant 900. Yet just 17 remain in the UK and this one is particularly enticing because it features the classic ‘Lucky Explorer’ colour scheme.
The mileage is a mere 22,366 kms from new (13,880 miles). The vendor acquired it from friend in 2015, who had owned it since 2008. For most of its life it has been dry stored. It was serviced in November 2024 and carries MOT to November 2025 with no advisories. It has covered barely 2 miles since the last service and MOT test.
Lightly used and in great, original condition, this is a well-presented example of these rare explorer bikes.
The vendor says:
“There are only 17 of this model, the Elefant 900, left in the UK. This is one of the latest ones, and in the favoured Lucky Explorer colours. A useable classic bike, all day comfortable to ride, and to say the least, a bit special, makes a GS look boring!
“Reliable and doesn't mind the state of the roads these days, handles them with ease. An original 'Adventure' bike!
