2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V12

Highlights

 • Excellent service history
 • Very good original condition
 • 5.9 litre V12

The Appeal

It’s easy to fall in love with the Aston Martin DB7 as it is one of the most beautiful coupes ever made. The Vantage, with its slightly flared arches and more aggressive stance is even more appealing, especially when you factor in the superb V12 engine.

Being an Aston Martin there’s plenty of stylish luxury and comfort inside the car too, and this all goes towards making it one of the greatest sporting GTs ever.

The History and Paperwork

 • Excellent service history
 • Last major service done in 2019, 3,500 miles ago
 • Current MOT expires 8 April 2023
 • V5c present
 • 2 original sets of keys
 • Original owners’ handbooks and service booklet
 • Spare wheel and tools
 • Original umbrella

The Interior

 • Black full leather interior
 • Good condition throughout
 • Alcantara headlining
 • 6 CD changer and Amp
The luxuriously trimmed and appointed interior is in very good order throughout and features electric seats, electric windows and mirrors, and recently re-gassed air-conditioning. The figure-hugging black leather seats show some wear and tear but only really in a good way. The rear of the driver’s seat has a piece of leather, which has come a bit adrift, and there’s a small crack in the rather splendid wood on the dashboard.

All the carpets and door cards look in very good clean condition and the rear seats, admittedly small, look like they’ve never been used. The boot has the original Aston Martin umbrella that came with the car and there’s a very useful built-in battery conditioner for those winter storage months.

 The Exterior

 • Good all round condition
 • Recent rear tyres
 • Original wheels
 • Upgraded front grill
Finished in very the attractive Mendip Blue the car looks awesome from every angle and still scores very highly on the most gorgeous car ever list. There are a few minor points to mention, there’s a badly touched in scratch on the bonnet and there’s a few stone chips, the near side rear light cluster needs reseating and possibly a new rubber seal, there are some paint bubbles on both rear wheel arches and the top of the driver’s door, one of the four wheels is quite scratched up around the rim, and there’s a small crack in the windscreen lower cowl, but none of these small niggles detract from the overall good condition and presentation of the car.

The Mechanics

 • Excellent service history
 • Last fully serviced in 2021
 • Drives superbly
The current owner has enjoyed the Vantage for just about one year and around 3,500 miles. It came having just had a major service and, other than putting two new tyres at the rear, he has kept an eye on levels and has not serviced it during his ownership. That said, he reports that everything works as it should and the car is simply awesome to drive

Summary

Great colour on a very fine-looking machine indeed. With relatively low mileage this represents a great opportunity.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
