Carefully stored and sparingly used over last 13 years
2020 belt change using Kevlar with 5yr intervals
Nose and side vents fitted with PPF
The Appeal
With a new lightweight, high strength aluminium chassis and 390bhp 3.6litre V8, the 360 Modena was a very new type of Ferrari. Designed was still by Pininfarina, so while the 360 introduced a new style, it was unmistakably a product of the prancing horse.
To the relief of enthusiasts its style and set up were heavily influenced by the lauded F355, including the option of a ‘F1’ semi-automatic gearbox.
This very low mileage 360 Modena F1 likely ticks every buyer’s checklist. Alongside the desirable specification and colour scheme the history is impeccable – a continuous run of service stamps irrespective of mileage alongside other work.
Little used in recent years but carefully stored and regularly run and detailed, this is a great example of an exhilarating thoroughbred.
Bodywork and paintwork present as new, reflecting low miles and regular detailing
Classically finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero black leather, all very well kept
The exterior shows no noticeable signs of age or wear with no dents or scratches
This is likely helped by the PPF fitted to the nose and vulnerable side air vents
Unmarked five spoke ‘star’ design factory alloys and red calipers
Quality Bridgestone tyres in good condition with plenty of tread
Leatherbound trunk bag and Schedoni-style factory leather tool case
Attention to detail abounds such as the immaculate cabin filter shown in photos
Well kept interior betraying only very minor signs of age and use
Black leather seats well kept with only very light wear visible to driver’s bolster
Leather upper and lower dashboard with light wear visible around right hand switch bank
Steering wheel paddles are very lightly chipped on edges
Kenwood aftermarket stereo
This example does not suffer from the common 'sticky buttons' inside
With Pininfarina in charge of design once again it is no surprise that the 360 Modena is a looker in the classic Ferrari style. It is a timeless shape that looks particularly good in the Rosso Corsa over black colour scheme of this car.
It is in superb condition, the bodywork and paint reflecting the low miles and fastidious owner who has treated the car to six monthly detailing despite rarely using it. The factory five spoke alloys are in similarly unmarked condition.
The beautiful Ferrari interior continues the theme. There are some signs of use across the driver’s bolster but these are exceptionally minor and relatively easy fixes if the buyer wishes. MEKQcN9Gq3A9hlANS6lhUMbomv3qtSATeRv8THwu.jpg929.49 KB
The Mechanics
6spd Graziano ‘F1’ semi-automatic gearbox
3,586cc Ferrari V8 new for the 360 and delivering 390bhp
0-60mph in 5secs
Nicely detailed engine bay shows off the sculptural beauty of this area
We are told the car starts easily and there are no unwanted dashboard lights
Similarly there are no knocks and the car runs smoothly
£15,000 expended on maintenance during the car’s life
Timing belts replaced in 2020 using Kevlar, which enables 5yr rather than 3yr intervals
The 3.6litre V8 at the heart of the Modena was new for the car, working with the light aluminium chassis to deliver performance and handling yet another notch on from the competition.
This car is fitted with the popular and desirable ‘F1’ automated manual gearbox that delivers shift changes even faster than a manual can muster.
The maintenance records for the car would be hard to improve, a detailed run of service and other maintenance work undertaken regardless of mileage and totalling £15,000. Notably this included a timing belt change in 2020 – the car has covered few miles since – using Kevlar parts that we are told extend the interval from three years to five years. He extensive service history is detailed above.
