The Appeal
In bold, bright red this XKR evokes thoughts of the classic E Type, but with its own modern classic character, the super charged V8 having an incredible sound and awesome turn of speed. The Jaguar is in fabulous condition inside and out and comes with not only the black fabric tonneau cover but also a rare Speedster style hard plastic tonneau, something we don’t think we’ve seen in person before.

The XK comes with its original book pack of handbooks and manuals in their smartly branded wallet, however the service book was lost some time ago so recent years maintenance is backed up by the wad of receipts that come in the folded, showing it has had its regular maintenance, often from Farriers Jaguar Land Rover specialist.

The interior of the Jaguar is in splendid condition, from the dark carpet, up through the leather trimmed - with wood and fabric detail - door cards, up to the headliner of the folding hood, everything looks superb.
It’s black leather seats have virtually no signs of use to them, the hide is excellent and the padding shape is as new, there is only a light patina to the surface of the drivers bolder.
On the dashboard is fine and beautiful wood, which has a smooth finish and deep gloss, which continues onto the the part leather, part wood steering wheel.
An alloy pedal and gear knob accessory set was fitted in 2019 giving unique and sporting look to the cabin.

The Exterior

Looking around the car the bodywork is in exemplary condition. There are virtually no stone chips or blemishes around the car, with beautiful, deeply shiny paint over perfect panels.
The black fabric roof operates smoothy and is in very good shape with a crystal clear glass rear window. It has a slight roughness on the nearside top corner but otherwise excellent. There is a black fabric tonneau and an incredibly rare and unusual speedster style plastic cover as well.

It has polished alloy wheels, there are some curb marks and the centre caps have faded a little but has a mix of Pirellis and Avon tyres with very good tread.
The Mechanics
• Supercharged V8 runs well
• Smooth gearbox
• No leaks
The V8 engine runs smoothly and with its supercharger pulls hard with a fabulous sound only a V8 can create. It has been serviced annually according to the receipts.
Look under the bonnet and the engine is free of leaks or deposits, and the gearbox and differential work quietly as they should.
Summary
This is a clean and honest XKR in fantastic condition. The red paint stands out from the crowd, the bodywork is great and the interior is excellent but the supercharged V8 is the star of the show. The Speedster tonneau is an almost unique accessory and it even includes the ‘XKR’ number plate.
