The Appeal
The W463 G-Class remains one of the most recognisable vehicles Mercedes-Benz has produced. In G500 guise, the long-wheelbase body is powered by the M113 V8, a unit well regarded for its reliability.
This example was originally delivered new in Japan in February 2000 and has been in the care of the family since then, having been personally imported to the UK. In Japan, the vehicle was kept in underground secure parking, and studless snow tyres and chains were used rather than road salting.
Since arriving in the UK, it has only been driven during the summer months and has been kept as a very occasional use vehicle by an owner who had intended to retain it indefinitely. The vendor states that the overall condition is very good, with particular emphasis on the underbody.
Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over black leather with burred walnut veneer trim, it was specified from the factory with the Exclusive package. The vendor states the overall condition is very good, with particular emphasis on the underbody. It comes with the original service booklet documenting entries from 4,229 km in 2002 through to 43,000 km in 2017, along with the dealer-issued document pack and dealer stamps verifying the mileage. It is only being offered for sale due to the owner's international relocation.

Couple of quick questions the v5 - (1) how many seats are recordedtt (2) what is the euro emissions status
G_Class••••
SellerHi, To answer your questions: Seating Designation: The 7-seat status on the V5C reflects the official Japanese export records from when it was imported. I haven't applied to modify the logbook capacity. Rear Benches: Yes, the rear side-facing bench seats are factory original Mercedes-Benz equipment. UK Service History: In the 8 years it’s been in the UK, the car has been kept in dry storage and driven just 2,000 miles (total mileage is 29,000 from new). Maintenance has been preservation-led, including routine oil changes and replacing a fuel tank seal, alongside regular MOT inspections as shown on the official UK record. Hope that helps.
