The Appeal
Latin for wolf, the Lupo was Volkswagen's answer to the city car, deriving from the already proven Mk3 Golf platform with cuter styling and updated equipment. Despite the charming design, the Lupo failed to take off with the Golf and Polo filling most consumers' needs, so scarce when new and rare to come by these days.
While this isn’t our bread and butter in terms of performance and collectibility, we like to draw the analogy of candy at the checkout in terms of attractiveness. If you are a car enthusiast with a collection of your own, with a zest for colours, this might provide the perfect cheeky little inner-city run around or a bright and pleasing pint-sized addition to a VW stable.
