Highlights
- Well-maintained by main dealers and specialists
- 400bhp rear wheel drive M5 rival
- Only three keepers with the current one since 2011
- Current MOT to June 2026
The Appeal
Jaguar had been fiddling around with an M5 rival for years before the X308 arrived. The X300 XJR was certainly good, but its 400bhp V8 successor finally had the performance to take the fight to Munich’s doorstep.
Perhaps unlike the 5-Series, the XJ has character and charisma in abundance. They make great modern classics, and here’s a chance to find out why. This black over ivory 2001 car has had just three keepers from new, the current one since 2011, and has been continuously maintained by main dealers and specialists.
It is in good, usable condition. It would work as a stylish daily, or there is scope to take it to the next level. With MOT to June 2026, it is ready to enjoy.
