The Appeal
The MG MGF Trophy 160 is a high-performance version of the MGF roadster, introduced in 2001 as the flagship model of the range. Powered by a 1.8-litre VVC (Variable Valve Control) engine producing 160 bhp, it offered sharper acceleration, upgraded suspension, larger brakes, and distinctive styling features including front and rear spoilers, side skirts, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Designed to deliver a more focused driving experience while retaining everyday usability, the Trophy 160 remains one of the most desirable and collectible variants of the MGF.
This car has been with its current registered keeper since 2003, having purchased it from Seward Motor Group. Benefiting from recent timing belt, water pump and radiator replacements, and holding an advisory-free MOT until March 2027, the vendor describes it as the best drivers' car they have ever owned.
