The Appeal
The BMW 745i was a car far ahead of its time. Using BMW's new i-drive system it offered drivers a fine introduction to the digital systems with which we are all now familiar. But the 745i offered much more than a cutting edge infotainment system; the big V8 up front pushes 325hp to the rear wheels and combined with a great chassis and innovative driving technology such as the automatic hydraulically controlled anti roll bar the 745i is a fantastic car to drive.
Going from 0-60 in 6 seconds in ultimate comfort and devouring corners like a car half its weight, it makes for a hard to beat driving experience.

Sliding in behind the wheel of this big luxury cruiser you can instantly feel the quality of this big BMW. With the opulent wooden trim, deep fully electric (both heating and adjustment) seats, an enclosed cockpit and extensive soundproofing this car provides a high level of driving comfort and luxury.
Looking down the long bonnet gives some hint of the other side of this car; you can tell the engine resting beneath it is a sizeable lump. The interior of the 745i has a huge array of switches and controls, and the level to which you can customise your driving experience is outstanding for a car of this period. It also features a DVD player (mounted in the boot), sat-nav and a BMW branded car phone.
The Exterior
- Fair condition overall
- Wheels show significant signs of wear
- Tyres show signs of perishing
- Paintwork generally in good condition with some imperfections
The 745i is a big imposing car with classic BMW styling and creates a strong impression wherever it goes. Finished in black with large silver BMW alloy wheels it’s a fantastic looking car.
The wheels could do with some refurbishment and the paintwork does have some small stone chips on the front, however these details are only apparent on closer viewing; the car still looks good and can be counted on to make an impression.
