This 2002 example was delivered new in Spain, where it remained for its first thirteen years before being imported to the UK in 2015. Its previous owner kept it for almost ten years, using it mainly for long-distance trips between the UK and Switzerland. As a result, the vast majority of its documented 101,000 miles were covered under favourable conditions.

The vehicle behaves exactly as a properly maintained G400 CDI should. Since the recent transmission service, the five-speed automatic gearbox shifts with remarkable smoothness while also offering crisp, decisive changes. The twin-turbo diesel V8 delivers readily available power and notably generous torque. The permanent four-wheel drive gives the solidity, peace of mind, and the capability that made the G-Class W463 such a benchmark for off-road vehicles.
