The Appeal
The 360 Challenge Stradale redefined what a road-legal Ferrari could be. This was not Maranello's usual grand tourer with a sporting edge; the CS was essentially a racing car made street-legal. Ferrari stripped approximately 110kg from the standard 360 Modena, attacking weight from almost every direction: carbonfibre racing seats, thinner glass, stripped headlining, deletion of the stereo, air conditioning, and rear luggage shelf as standard.
It is widely regarded as the car that established the template for the marque's lightweight, track-focused road cars, a thread that runs through the 430 Scuderia, 458 Speciale, and 488 Pista. The CS remains one of the most revered and collectable Ferraris of its era. With just 1,288 built and a very limited number supplied to the UK, good examples are increasingly hard to come by.
Our right-hand-drive car is finished in the quintessential combination of Rosso Corsa (with no stripe) over red leather carbon-backed bucket seats. Originally supplied by Maranello Ferrari in Egham, it has had just two registered keepers from new, the second of whom kept the car for over twenty years as part of a carefully curated Ferrari collection, covering minimal mileage during their stewardship.
Servicing has been entrusted to respected Ferrari specialists throughout, including MDS Ferrari Specialist, Bob Houghton, and, most recently, Graypaul Ferrari. The car is accompanied by its original toolkit, handbooks, service book, and a supporting history file.
As the market for analogue, naturally aspirated Ferrari special series cars continues to strengthen, this represents a compelling opportunity to acquire a well-kept, long-term-ownership example of one of Maranello's most significant modern models.image.png1.34 MB

Can you believe this car is 23 years old? We're certainly struggling to come to terms with that fact. Not only has that design aged oh-so gracefully, but the condition of this Ferrari, too, is immensely impressive.
While Pininfarina's masterpiece would doubtless look wonderful in practically any colour, it must be said that Rosso Corsa is the colour for any sporting Ferrari. The lack of the common stripe on this example is a nice touch, too. This car looks purposeful, without trying too hard. We admire its owners' considerable restraint, having covered fewer than 10,000 miles in total.
Cam belt changes carried out in 2011, 2015, 2021, and 2026

The 360 CS's powertrain was a high point of the naturally aspirated era. The flat-plane crank soundtrack at high revs remains one of the more celebrated engine notes of all time. Ferrari's 3.6-litre V8 was revised to produce 425hp, and with the weight reduction, the power-to-weight ratio was a colossal 332 horsepower per ton.
Having been subject to a rigorous maintenance schedule and covering so few miles in all, it should come as no surprise that this Ferrari is reported to be in excellent health, ready to meet its next custodian.
