The Appeal

Launched in 2002, the 575M Maranello proudly shows off a host of improvements over its predecessor, the 550 Maranello. With Pininfarina’s magic touch, the 575M boasts sleek new styling cues, greater aerodynamics, and a truly classy road presence.
In addition to subtle new aesthetic improvements, the 575M would receive its fair share of mechanical upgrades, including greater displacement, larger brakes, adaptive suspension and the offer of Graziano Trasmissioni’s F1 gearbox. As a result, the 575M stands as some of Ferrari’s most understated work yet, offering a rather engaging, yet refined Ferrari experience.

This particular example also benefits from the likes of excellent service history, caring ownership, and even previous restoration work. Having covered such few miles since its restoration, the vehicle now stands as a superb candidate for even the most sublime of collections.

This 575M was originally supplied in New Zealand, where it would enjoy regular use and plenty of attentive maintenance. As the result of quite a common fault, the vehicle would then be fitted with a replacement speedometer in 2010, at 38,433 miles. With 2,008 miles noted on the replacement unit, and 35,347 miles shown today, the vehicle is now believed to have covered around 70 thousand miles in total.
After receiving a new speedometer and enjoying the New Zealand roads, this Ferrari would then be imported to the UK, destined for a private collection. Upon arriving in the country, the vehicle would receive significant expenditure in the form of a glass-out respray, wheel refurbishment, an interior switchgear refresh, and plenty of maintenance.
The vehicle’s extensive maintenance is of course documented within the included service booklet, and an array of invoices from Ferrari main dealers, and independent specialists. Also included is the rest of the original Ferrari booklet pack, the Ferrari tool kit, tyre kit, vehicle import and NOVA documentation, and the current V5C document.

The Interior

  • Dark Blue hide interior, in fantastic condition
  • Features electric seat adjustment
  • Benefits from a switchgear refresh
  • Minimal and driver-focused
With minimal clutter, and refined Italian styling, the 575M’s interior is wholly driver-focused, allowing the singing V12 to steal the show. That said, it remains a rather comfortable and spacious environment, with more than enough room to enjoy.

One of the key features is of course, the comfortable leather seats, which come complete with Ferrari-adorned headrests, electric adjustment, and driver seat memory functions. Rather in line with the mileage covered, the seats present themselves in fantastic condition, with only minor signs of wear and age to note.

Both door cards and the carpeting follow suit, offering clean and tidy finishes throughout the cabin. Having been refreshed as part of the vehicle’s restoration, the interior switch gear also offers wear-free finishes, devoid of the tacky ageing often present in other examples. It deserves to be noted that in addition to offering such excellent finishes the switchgear also performs without fault, as do all additional interior features.
All in all, you’re presented with a very tidy interior, reflecting plenty of care and minimal use in recent times. With only very minor signs of wear to note, this now 20-year-old interior leaves very little to fault.

The Exterior

  • Previously restored example
  • Re-finished in sublime Argento Silver paintwork
  • Equipped with genuine Scuderia wing shields
  • Features 18” five-spoke alloy wheels
  • Presented in fantastic condition
The 575M offers perhaps one of the classiest and most understated designs from Ferrari’s legendary lineup. You’re treated to all the charms of the previous 550, with the welcome addition of Pininfarina’s magic touch, and refined aerodynamics. It’s certainly a vehicle that holds tremendous road presence, whilst merely alluding to the fantastic performance on offer.
As previously mentioned, this sleek Maranello was subject to a rather extensive restoration upon arriving in the UK, which included a glass-out respray. As such, the vehicle offers a superb coat of Argento Silver paintwork, with plenty of shine, and perhaps only the most minuscule of blemishes. The finish deserves to be admired in person, and will gladly rival that of any showroom vehicle.
Accompanying the superb paintwork is the factory-specified set of 18” five-spoke alloy wheels. Having been professionally refurbished as part of the vehicle’s restoration, each wheel offers an excellent finish, with seemingly only light brake dust to note. The staggered wheels come wrapped in a set of Pirelli tyres, with plenty of tread left for the new owner to enjoy.

Overall, the vehicle presents itself in truly fantastic condition, greatly benefitting from excellent restoration work, and plenty of care as part of a collection. With arguably only the slightest of blemishes noticeable upon incredibly close inspection, this is a vehicle that will seemingly suit any high-end collection.
