Comprehensive service history with most recent service in January 2025
Garaged/kept under a car port since new
The Appeal
Mercedes-Benz was determined that its SL350 would not to play second fiddle to the V8-engined 500. Despite having two fewer cylinders, the SL350 still managed a mightily impressive 245 BHP, all while achieving significantly better fuel economy than its big brother. Two decades on, the SL350 remains the enthusiasts' choice, and you'd be hard-pushed to find a better example as this one from 2003.
The vendor tells us:
"I bought the vehicle in 2022 with 12,000 miles on the clock and have covered another 2,000 miles since then. It has been regularly serviced with the latest service at the end of January 2025 with a new MOT.
"There is a great service history and it drives like new. For a bit of nostalgia the factory fit radio/cassette player is supplemented by a six-stacker CD and there is even a factory fitted Nokia car phone kit!
"Having had one of these twenty years ago I can just say it is a pleasure to drive. The benefit of the SL350 over the SL500 is the SL350 does not have the hydraulic suspension which can be a real issue on twenty plus year old examples."
Complete with a year's MOT, this modern classic convertible is ready for some top-down spring and summer motoring.image.png5.44 MB

✓ The seller is registered as a private seller which means consumer rights stemming from EU consumer protection law do not come into effect. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic’s own Terms and Conditions..
✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.
✓ This vehicle is “Sold As Seen”, on an “As Is Where Is’ basis and without warranty. Photos and descriptions are solely for guidance purposes and it's customary to carry out a full inspection of the vehicle prior to purchase for your own peace of mind.
✓ VAT is included in the buyer's fee. VAT may or may not be included in the final bid or offer price, as specified in the listing.
✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
✓ Buyers are responsible for vehicle collection
or delivery. Importing vehicles may result in additional customs duties and import taxes so it’s worth checking beforehand..
