The Appeal
Introduced in 1998, the new 996 version of Porsche’s 911 was major step as not only was it a sweeping restyle but for the first time the flat six engine would be water cooled. The exterior styling was totally new and the interior was refreshed to give to the venerable 911 a new lease of life. Purchased by the Seller in December 2022 he has added a further 1,000 miles to the total, enjoying the Porsche locally as well some longer drives to visit family.
He is fastidious about the quality and appearance of his cars and the 996 is no exception; it is in superb condition overall, with barely a mark, and nothing that requires attention. Previously owned by a stalwart of the Porsche Owner’s Club, the 996 has received everything it needed regardless of cost.
It’s Service history is exemplary with regular attention almost annually, and the rear main oil seal and IMS bearing (a known issue with the 996) have been changed and upgraded The Seal Grey Metallic exterior is excellent, and the smart Boxster Red interior has just the lightest wear and remains in superb condition.
