The Appeal
The Cayenne firmly rebooted Porsche for the new Millennium and practically reinvented the luxury SUV market. Early, unmolested cars in good order with low miles are getting very rare and attracting the interest of classic enthusiasts.
This very early first generation ‘E1’ is the ‘S’ model with the 335bhp 4.5L V8 engine. It has covered less than 55,000 miles in the hands of a single keeper from new. Finished in Crystal Silver with a black leather interior, it is a really nicely preserved example.
The vendor tells us that it comes with complete service history. He describes it as in collector-quality condition. The MOT appears to support that view as it runs to November 2025 with no advisories.
The vendor says:
“This 2003 Porsche Cayenne 4.5S is an outstanding low-mileage example of Porsche’s first-generation SUV, showing just 54,700 miles and accompanied by a complete service history. Combining excellent cosmetic preservation with mechanical integrity, this Cayenne is presented in true collector-grade condition.”

The vendor says:
“The Porsche Cayenne, introduced in 2002, was a landmark model that reshaped Porsche’s future. The 4.5S variant featured a naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 delivering 340 hp, paired with Porsche’s all-wheel-drive system, blending sports car performance with SUV practicality. At launch, the Cayenne was praised for setting a new benchmark in driving dynamics for luxury SUVs, a reputation it maintains to this day.
“Over two decades later, the first-generation Cayenne has earned recognition as a modern classic, valued for its engineering purity, analogue driving feel, and robust build quality. Early, low-mileage, and well-preserved examples such as this are increasingly sought after by collectors and Porsche enthusiasts alike.”
