The Appeal
Ian Callum has to share design duties on the beautiful DB7, but the later Vanquish was wholly his own work. Harking back to the more purposeful 80s cars, this handsome car was technologically innovative. Beneath the lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium bodywork lay a bonded aluminium composite chassis that was unique to this low-volume car.
Today, these first-generation Vanquish cars are highly collectable, as this car demonstrates. It has had just four keepers, two of them the same marque collector. Classically finished in Bon-referencing silver grey metallic with high specification grey leather, it is a very well presented car, thanks to its 18,000 miles from new.
Despite that limited use, it has been serviced 12 times by Aston Martin main dealers and then twice by independent marque specialists. Recent work has included new brake discs and pads to front and rear. There is a lengthy, advisory-free MOT valid to February 2026.
This is a really well-preserved example of the collectable original Vanquish.
